Took over my mortgage and raised my monthly mortgage over $850. Follow-up complaint. Spoke to a representative who offered to help with late fees due to my mortgage skyrocketing from $2355 to $3200. They assured me that they could help me by waiving any late fees. When I called back after paying 1/2 my escrow shortage and monthly mortgage which was basically 2 mortgages all in the same month they refused to waive the $77 late fee. my mortgage was sold to Freedom Mortgage and I just received a bill from my homeowners insurance that Freedom Mortgage is not listed as my mortgage company. Thank you Wells Fargo for not providing my info over when you sold my mortgage. I have been on hold for 45 minutes and still holding. Worst company ever!!!
After Hurricane Helena, Freedom Mortgage offered me a “relief program” that was anything but helpful: skip two months of payments, then pay all three months at once in the third month. I called three times to reject this, yet they enrolled me anyway, forcing me into a huge lump-sum payment. On top of that, my insurance claim process has been a nightmare.
