I attended Millsaps in the late 1990s expecting a small, intimate campus with a lot of support and warmth. What I found felt closer to a day program, where many students seemed to go home to their families elsewhere in Mississippi on weekends. A few things stood out to me. The Greek system felt like it dominated campus life, and in my experience it created friction and unhappiness rather than community.
