Filipowski performed my lens replacement surgery. The procedure itself went smoothly, and I am now free from contact lenses, which is a positive. However, my overall outcome has been mixed. I now need reading glasses regularly and have significant sensitivity to bright light, so I also have to carry sunglasses. I had an appointment at Filutowski Eye Institute for a LASIK consultation and spent over an hour at the clinic, but unfortunately did not receive a real consultation. The doctor briefly presented two options: LASIK for distance vision (with loss of near vision) or a lens implant (with possible night vision issues). The staff was nice and Shelby was amazing when doing my testing. Office was clean, and it was honestly a beautiful office. The doctor I saw was nice but I did leave feeling unaccounted. I was told that regardless of my systemic autoimmune disease 80% of women have dry eye from hormones, then told to take a vitamin and given some name brands for eye drops. I’ve done the over the counter eye drops none of them work. I have sjorgens. My dry eye isn’t going to get relief from some otc eye drops, or from an omega vitamin. I took ... read more
