One of the families that put in the protest lives a good 5-6 house down from the store, so their argument of increased traffic is invalid. Traffic to the store would come from Buffalo Gap Rd. and never even make it past their house, or IF customers come from the other way, i.e. Rio Mesa, then it's the subdivisions' own residents - i.e. traffic that would come past their house anyway. Also, if they enclosed their backyard with a fence, then their 2-year old could play un-endangered by traffic ... the way mine does in our back... read more
