Our family has had FilCan provide PSW/Homecare services for about 4 months for our mom who suffered a stroke during open heart surgery after spending almost 2.5 mths in the hospital. The PSW/Caregivers were all very courteous, caring and professional. Cheri, the proprietor, is great to deal with, she is very professional, compassionate and replies to messages very promptly. We are deeply grateful to the nurses from Filcan who cared for my dad in his final weeks at home. They were kind, extremely caring, and empathetic in every way. Their attentiveness and intuition were remarkable—they knew when to step in with support and when to allow our family the privacy we needed. I'm giving 5 stars but if I could give a million stars I would gladly do so! Filcan was with my mom round the clock in the final week of her life. It was a rotation of caregivers and every single one was fantastic. They were compassionate, very very competent and the perfect mix of fun (laughing was very much allowed with mom despite the situation) and serious at the most difficult time. Support workers give very gentle, thoughtful care. Cheryl the admin/manager has managed all my requests with respect and in a timely manner. I highly recommend this agency.
I needed excellent caregivers with two days notice to do overnights and daytime shifts. Charyl came through with flying colors. She’s very personable and came to meet with us in person to get a better sense of what we needed. Then she sent us a number of people who we could choose from. We found the help we needed.
