I will be the first to say that I had to put a star just to write a comment. I was so rudely treated when I called the desk to ask questions, which was a very hard call for me to make in the first place, I do admit I called on a Saturday night at 9:15pm yet still the women on the phone was so rude, She chasdisded me about the late hour and how rude that I was explained I was so sorry and was on able to call after work, and was thinking it would be slower than during the day and the she said well it is not and rude, THEN hung... read more
My dad was at Fig Garden for 3 years and I finally had to remove him. The food has gotten so bad and they just keep raising the rent while new people get in for a lot less money.They do not appreciate the people who are loyal to them. I can understand why so many of the rooms are empty. The managers are nice people.
The apartments are nothing like pictured, they are older and not as nice as the model. Very cheap cabinets. Very old carpeting and funiture in the dining room. Food is of poor quality, reallly need to get a true cook. The building needs alot of work inside and out. Windows needs to be updated.
I am trying to get information of when you are accepting applications for disabled persons under age 62. I was told that you accept them on certain days and times. I can not find any information through the Desoto Times Newspaper. My mother spoke with Lisa last week regarding my situation. I currently reside in a government subsidized apartment in Holly Springs, MS. Since my family and friends are all in Olive Branch (my hometown) it is important that I get an apartment closer to them so they can assist me when needed. I app... read more

My mother moved in the facility in may 10. She was promised many great things and they were not delivered. First and foremost the food is of poor quality. It has a frozen taste and the kitchen covers it up with salt. The service is mediocre. For what we are paying she should at least be acknowledged by staff. Their activities are ok but it is hard to find someone that can help. Im sorry to say that I made a poor decision on Laurel Grove. Does anybody have any recomendations? Moms is quite independent.
I have written reviews only to check on in a few hours or following day and they are deleted ... so whats the point??? The staff is exceptional in Cedar Woods but the food and trying to get in touch with corporate offices is the worst!!After 3 days and numerous phone calls, received a phone call from corporate office and they took my complaint and said they would follow up immediately. I will write a review again if things improve, but I do appreciate the call back and the compassion DW showed.
Upscale Retirement Community offering 3 meals a day and daily activities in a beautiful and private setting. Emergency call switches and all utilities including cable are some of the amenities included. Lots of VALUE.
Such a nice facility. A good place for elders when they need to move from their own home. My parents had a third floor room with a wrap around balcony that was great. A good place to sit and enjoy the sunrise and sunsets. The food service was the only complaint my parents had. Now my aunt lives there and she mentions the meals are not that good? Since eating is such a big part of their life, good food would really help.
