Atmosphere & Wine This is romantic and cozy restaurant that is my favorite date night. It has a nice, small dining room, but sitting at the bar is just as quaint. Wine list is quite fine and full. Also, my fav, half-glasses available.

Fig is to die for! My husband and I dined here on our escape from the kids while we visited the in-laws. He had the ribeye, one of the largest and tastiest pieces of meat we have ever had. I wanted to order one of the bestsellers, so I ordered the duck even though I wanted to stay "safe" and order something like steak that I knew I would like. Glad I took the risk, because this duck was fantastic. Kudos to the chefs at Fig. Fantastic food.

Great Food but Not Intimate A wonderful small restaurant located near the entrance to The Biltmore. Food is on par with Rezaz, which is nearby, but this venue is small and reservations are highly advisable. Also, for the hearing impaired, Fig might be uncomfortable unless you turn off your hearing aid as tables are close together and sound carries easily in this facility. The food and service are superb however and its right up there with the best in town. PROS: Cuisine, service, friendly staff CONS: Loud

It has become a used to be. It used to be a great restaurant with ambience and amazing food. Now the food is a step up from needing a take out bag and is so loud its like a stadium. We were there recently and a table of 14 was making everyone else in the restaurant uncomfortable. When asked, the owner said there was nothing he could do, it was a table of 14. That translates loosely to " they are 14 people ordering French fries and I hope enough beer to make more than the tables of 2". The food was so so at best. My dinner fr... read more

GREAT! – We were visiting and another Asheville restaurant recommended FIG. We had an amazing meal and the staff knew their wine! Highly recommend dinner at Fig. Hard to recommend a meal since it is seasonal but ours was amazing.

FIG = FRENCH FOOD AT ITS FINEST – I live in Virginia, so I am not a local, but I quickly learned just how magnificent the food is at FIG when it opened a few years ago. Now, I always have dinner at FIG when I am in Asheville and always end up saying, "This is the best food I have ever eaten." Chef Klein has truly proven that common stigmas associated with french food can be replaced by superlatives. Portions are adequate, presentation is pleasing, sauces are not overdone nor overpowering, courses are creative and harmonious ... read more

We ate there, having read great reviews. We found it only OK, not very imaginative. The salad was average, the entrees OK, not as good as Rezaz, and with far fewer choices. The server seemed to have an attitude of condecension, which took away from the experience.
