Opened an account under a promo to get some $300 for qualifying activities like direct deposit. I did this and waited like 90 days before reaching out only to find out that I did not really qualify! SOMEWHERE in their FINE PRINT it says direct deposit into savings acct does not qualify! Both my checking and savings accts were opened at the same time as part of the promo and it was not clearly mentioned which one to use for the promo...I requested that this is just a simple oversight (if at all) but I was told their "backend"... read more

Review for 53 bank I would not recommend people go to the branch, rather check out the one on High House. When I went in to submit the power of attorney paperwork for my elderly parents that are out of the country, taking care of family, I was told by the manager at this 53 branch that they had to be in person. At this point, I’ve already done this at 4 other banks in the area with no issue and none had to be in person.
