On each visit I have been treated very respectfully and always quickly. Would highly suggest Zachary for any new account needs. He has only been with the 5/3 about a year but was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and has been helpful multiple times over the past few months.
Fifth Third Bank is actually between Just OK and Liking It. I love the fact that the branch hours on Friday are until 6pm. But, only having the Downtown, Eastside and Westside branches put some of their customers in a rush to get there before they close. I live on Northside, and work on south side, it is a bummer when I rush to any branch just to get there and see they are closed. I also dont like having to pay for the checks, thats a huge, HUGE bummer.
Never in my life have I been charged so much for an overdraft. I went into the facility and questioned how much was being charged for an overdraft, I was told that it was only \$25 per transaction. However, recently I made a mistake and over drafted my account and was charged not only the \$25 for the over draft but I was also charged \$8 per day that it was overdraft not to mention they didnt call to tell me until 3 days after it had been in overdraft. If you want customer service, do not use this bank. If you want competent answers from Loan officers, do not use this bank. Dealing with 5/3 is like dealing with the Three Stooges. Avoid this bank like the plague.
Being a bank with various branches in various states in Midwest, the bank provides same services like the local banks in the area. But the only dis-similarity is this bank charges you money to order checks. So make your call.
