It's always super clean and there's tons of equipment available and lots of different spaces to work. I really enjoy the after hours key card access for this hidden-away gym downtown.
I’ve been training at the 5th Ave Club, and it’s honestly one of the best gyms I’ve experienced in Calgary. The location is super convenient, right in the heart of downtown, making it easy to pop in before or after work. The gym is always spotless, with top-quality equipment that’s well-maintained, very spacious, never overcrowded, and a very peaceful space to do my yoga. Good gym for several years now and while I would have rated it 5 stars in the previous years, recently there has been a very noticable influx of new members who don't respect the cleanliness of the gym. Every time I go now during the evening I notice weights not getting re-racked properly (5lb plate behind multiple 45lb plates or a mix stacked together) or not at all and certain members who don't wipe down the equipment after using it and leaving it sweaty, it is disgusting. Great gym. Single towel allotment is ridiculous though. Towels are small and non absorbent.
Rod is an outstanding personal trainer — professional, motivating, and truly invested in his clients’ progress. The program he’s designed for me is effective, challenging, and tailored to my goals. He builds great rapport in every session and is easy to connect with. Big thanks as well to Katherine, the GM, for creating such a welcoming and well-run space. Highly recommend! 🦾
