Mr We have used this Veterinary group for over seven (7) years for ALL of our pet needs from big dogs to little dogs. The doctors are most proficient in handling most any case each sized canine presents. Our old Mastiff is amazingly calm when in their offices and I know he feels he is being treated with the very best of care while our daughter's Yorkie from Boston (a very temperamental soul) seemed to like his care as well! I love this vet hospital I move around a lot, and have taken my pets to vets in a lot of places. This place has been wonderful. The vets are so nice, and it is not hard to get an appointment. The first time I came to this office, it was because I had just moved to town, my dog became alarmingly ill overnight, and I tried to walk into Hydraulic Animal Hospital when they opened in the morning. Great vet Our dog has received care from Georgetown for almost seven years. I have been pleased with his care and really feel that these are folks I can trust. I like the size of the hospital and I find their prices to be extremely reasonable.
Thorough, competent, caring I am a private rescue for abandoned and abused dogs, have worked with at least 20 vets in the Charlottesville VA area and this is BY FAR the best vet in the area and now I use them almost exclusively. I saw someone's "bad" rating for this vet and was incredulous -- he said they failed to do bloodwork and couldn't figure out that his pet had diabetes, which might have happened if they were trying out a new vet at one point but NONE of their current vets (4 total) is that green, and all of their cur... read more
not satisfied at all I was taking my dog there, over and over again for the same stuff, could never diagnose what was wrong w/ my dog...my dog kept getting worse, overweight, sleeping, not active, didn't have no clue what it was... had to get 2nd opinion, well, my dog has diabetes!! Georgetown never thought to run bloodwork looking for this, my dog is great now, on insulin but otherwise fine! helpful We have used them for a year. Expensive like every other vet in town but they have not tried to add on unnecessary stuff like our previous vet. Very good on the phone.
Good service and availability We have used this vet for years and have been quite satisifed. It is a larger practice, which means that you can almost always get an appointment. Once you get there, the receptionist is very efficient, and we almost never wait more than a minute or two to get in. ALl the vets seem to genuinely love the animals, which is nice as a pet "parent."
