As darkness falls and Uluru is thrown into silhouette, Field of Light illuminates. As far as the eye can see gentle rhythms of colour light up the desert. The critically acclaimed Field of Light Uluru by the internationally celebrated artist Bruce Munro has been extended indefinitely.

Something speciality to be seen in Uluru, in the evening. Shame they do not have (yet hopefully) a vantage point from up high so you can clearly see the magnitude of the art done on the 49000 square meters area lighted up with 50000 lamps.... Lovely display....we got there early on the last tour and had the whole field to ourselves....Field of lights and sounds of silence at once!
We did the FOL dinner experience. The staff were lovely, attentive and good service. Started with drinks (alcoholic & non-alcoholic) and canapés, just after sunset (not dark yet), we've been guided to the dinner tables. didgeridoo performance, followed by night sky story, self guided walk along the trail in FOL and back on the bus. Great evening
Long waiting for the bus (19:40 scheduled for 19:50 visit, but actually we get into the field at 20:25). For a general admission, only 50 mins allowed in the installation. Slightly rush. No tripod allowed.
Field of lights was part of our tour, but OMG what an experience. Originally set up in 2016 as an exhibition but they kept it. Walking through the 50,000 changing lights, all solar powered, was awesome. Then catching Uluru at sunset over a cuppa was magic. Definitely a must do
