We have been using Ferrellgas at our home in Bonny Doon for the last few years. We've had a wonderful experience and never felt stuck. That being said, there are issues in the mountains at times, and the office has always been clear when they need to prioritize deliveries. Communication has been their strength in our experience with Ferrellgas!
It was very cold and my furnace would not start. The propane tank gauge dial was in the red. I called Ferrellgas saying I was out if propane. Within hours my tank was filled. The furnace still would not start. Immediately Ferrellgas sent a technician back to my house who determined the problem was a malfunction in the furnace itself. This timely double response proved to me that Ferrellgas is truly a customer oriented propane supplier.
I worked out a decent deal with Ferrell to fill the 2 tanks on my property- the only caveat was it was scheduled 2 weeks out because I needed to set one of the tanks and plumb to it. Ferrell showed up early when the tank was not installed. I reminded them that I had scheduled it for 2 weeks out and then they tried to renegotiate the price per gallon. Do not use this company for gas. We had an issue with our service , and we're told that they would be out "tomorrow ". We waited all day, and finaly called them and was told they were not going to be here until the next day. We called the following morning and we're told they had no way of giving us an estimate of time they would be here, and they had no phone number to call to reach their corporate office or their scheduler. Shortly after moving into our house we noticed a smell coming from our tank (which we own). We reached out to Ferrell and they sent someone right away. We were told that we had a leak around the fuel gauge and it would need to be repaired, and red tagged us for this issue. The repair guy told us to reach out when we were at about 5%, I double checked this through the website chat and was told that was correct.
