He was our doctor for over 2 decades.. He prescribed me a type of penicillin despite knowing that my daughters and I had previously reacted negatively to other forms of penicillin. He dismissed my concerns, claiming the reactions weren't related, which made me feel foolish. Trusting him, I took the medication for an infected ingrown hair- nothing more- and then suffered a severe allergic reaction, burning my insides and also resulting in pustules across my face resulting in deep scars which I still have. Dr. Lewis has been our family Doctor for a very long time , always providing us with top notch care. He is very kind, knowledgeable, patient and explains everything to us in great detail he takes his time with us, does thorough examinations and always provides good plans for continued care. We absolutely love him. He takes time to get to knOw his patents well. He is very trustworthy.
Could I possibly give him no star? We trusted this doctor with our daughter medical care. Later on we realized he prescribed generic Prozac for our teen daughter. We could not believe it. So we insisted on going to see him all of us at the same time. We asked if he checked for vitamin D deficiency. He did not! He just got her Prozac! He said half of his patients get that! He is a terrible provider and I would never recommend anyone to see him! He rushes appointments and doesn't care about his patients. I felt like he treats me differently compared to others since I am a minority.
