I just gave Fernando's Latin Cuisine a 'Recommend' at Citysearch
Elegant & Delish – This was our second visit to Fernandos. It was a Friday night, about 9pm and the diners were a mix of family, couples and large groups. It was nice to see people dressed up in this more formal feeling place. Every single thing we ordered was seasononed well, authentic and made perfectly. Great date night restaurant – My husband and I went here for the first time last night, and we absolutely love it. We are already planning to treat my parents to dinner here. First of all, the service was amazing - very on top of it and very friendly. My tea never ran dry, and the owner personally served us our food and checked on us several times. Disappointing-Sugar Land needs a few more restauants like Amici and Aura – Supposed "latino menu" is just the standard stuff with latino-ish names. The vaunted paella was a stranger to saffron -- two tiny pieces of chorizo, four mussels, two tiny clams, two shrimp, (count-em) etc. If you want real paella, try Ibiza on Sunday night.
Sugar Land's Secret – Fernando?s is quickly becoming one of my favorites. The service is routinely excellent and the menu diverse and exciting. The owner even comes around to great the patrons. We felt free to discuss the menu and options. My wife and I love to explore a menu and often split entrees . Fernando?s was great about splitting the entrees. I think they even gave us more than half each. The food was great and the ambience romantic. Truly this is a Sugar Land secret.
