Amazing natural place with lots of native flora and fauna
A great place for a picnic
It has always been my dream to see a platypus in the wild, and I had been told that this was the best place to see one. After doing the beautiful walk we returned to the carpark and there was one swimming right in front of the viewing platform! We stayed for about an hour, quietly waiting and saw three more! (Or probably the same one three more times) beautiful area, so clean and close to the city. I recommend spending some time near the river at the carpark, being quiet and still, and you'll get your chance to see one too!
There was some rubbish around which was disappointing but it was a beautiful and serene on a Saturday morning and there were numerous walking tracks around the area.
A great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. Free entry and if weather is ok plenty of short walks
