If you’re looking for a gym with a welcoming environment, try Ferguson! I’ve seen a couple of local gyms close over the past few years and one of the common denominators is ownership (or lack of ownership). Anthony and Johanna (the owners) are heavily involved in the daily operations and actually care about fostering a community vs. the bottom line. PS- Anthony is a character and will pitch you his business ideas in between sets, but it’s a small price to pay for an awesome community
Anthony has really helped me lose weight and get in shape. As a former professional body builder and marine, he really knows his stuff. I also really appreciate his easy style, focus on safety, variety, and keeping my strenght training sane to protect my over 50 joints.
What makes Ferguson Fitness stand out from other gyms is the wide variety of programs offered with knowledgeable and friendly staff that will help you achieve your health and fitness goals. I was able to achieve significant weight loss while attaining strength and energy in less than five months of joining. The Rivers Edge facility is located next to the Roanoke Greenway, so I can workout and then access the greenway for either a long or short walk. It’s an ideal location with mountain views!
Can't say enough good things about this gym. Anthony has been the driving force in me getting back into working out after over a decade of being lazy. Doesn't matter if you've never worked out or you want to train for the next HYROX competition, you'll find all types here and all ages. The community it's created is special, what other gym has a chili cook off and friendsgiving?! Give them a call and check them out!
