Built in a marshy area called The Fens, the park's most prominent feature includes a badly sloping left field called Duffy’s Cliff, because left fielder Duffy Lewis learned to play it so well.

2005's "Fever Pitch" includes several scenes filmed at Fenway, including the scene from a 9/16/04 game in which Drew Barrymore runs across the field to Jimmy Fallon, sitting above the Red Sox dugout
