Gym is turning into a dump! Bathroom is gross, sinks don't work right, and lockers are falling apart with rusted bottoms. 1/2 of the cardio equipment is out of order and has been for a while now. If anything gets fixed, it takes forever, especially if he is out of duct tape. Every photo is still accurate even after being taken over a month ago. I’ve used this Powerhouse Gym a few times a year when visiting family in Fenton, mainly out of necessity. Unfortunately, the experience has consistently been disappointing. Much of the equipment appears to be 15–20 years old and poorly maintained. Most machines show rust / other obvious wear, and overall the facility feels dirty and unsanitary. Been going here for over 5 years, best gym around. Great atmosphere, people and equipment
I’ve been working out here for years with no issue other than it being an unsanitary rusty dump with no running water. One day the owner Kevin comes up to me mid workout and kicks me out for wearing crocs with no warning which I had been doing for years prior. He wouldn’t let me finish my set or my workout and told me to go buy shoes next door if I want to keep working out. Kevins fragile ego needs to change.
