I’ve seen signs advertising this diner over the years when I drove up to visit friends in Stephens County. I decided to stop by for lunch a few weeks ago when returning from a trip in Rabun County. The 50’s interior design was cool with lots of paraphernalia on the walls and in the restrooms. Based on lots of reviews, I decided to order the fried deviled eggs appetizer for my meal. Very disappointed with our visit this evening. Horrible server, long wait for food that wasn’t good at all. Server kept making excuses about being alone, meanwhile there were only 2 other tables multiple people walked in the front to be seated they were never helped and left.Nothing like it used to be, we will not be back.
This was our first time visiting and let me say, it was spectacular! My husband treated me to a birthday dinner here. Upon arrival they did inform us that there is a quite a wait to be served as the kitchen was behind which wasn't an issue. We sat outside in the patio area and enjoyed the live music. We’ve been here twice. Both times the wait is ridiculous compared to how few people are in the restaurant. Don’t come here if you’re hungry or in a hurry.
So when we got there the waitress asked what we wanted to drink. I said I want a sweet tea and a water and then she just walked away without my husband having a chance to answer. So she brought my drinks and then my husband asked for a water. She runs off again and it turns out she brought me a sweet tea and a sprite, instead of water. So she comes back to take our order.
