Great club to learn and practice fencing. Staff is very competent and patient to explain and train people of any age. They care a lot about safety and respect between fencers of different ages. Training is performed by coaches having reach the highest levels (world ranking/olympics) and coaches are very supportive whether you want to do fencing for fun or compete at national/international levels. Can’t say enough GREAT things about FAD- we have two of our children in weekly group and private lessons with FAD. Exceptional and Excellent - sad to see the renown Coach Mihalya leave- (moving to another state) absolutely love Coach Annie - haven’t met or experienced anything other than excellence with every coach and assistant with FAD
WOW!! My sons have been with this academy for 4 years now and today one of the coaches came completely unhinged when I approached him about a bully in his class of older kids pushing around my little. I’ve never even met this man and he took zero accountability, yelled in my face, making a mockery of any false decorum he may have once possessed. This crazy coach absolutely disrespected all that is decent about FAD and I’ve never been happier to have such a clear picture of what I’m not looking for in a club. Se La Vie FAD.
My daughter and I both fence here. The coaches are top notch and everyone has a great time. The coaching is of the level that my daughter has made it to nationals twice! Update: Thanks to FAD, my daughter is now an NCAA fencer at a Division I school on a scholarship.
