Would I ever use Fence City again? NO
The fence post material was defective and began rotting in the ground after two years, eventually causing catastrophic failure. After much unpleasant debate, Fence City remediated the failed posts for a cash payment, but within a couple months additional post failure occurred. The company offered a refund after we contacted the BBB. One star for the owner's and salesman's unprofessional behavior. One additional star for Harold, the General Manager, who was an empathetic peacemaker. Crossposted and resolved with BBB.
TL:DR – the original fence installation was delayed by 8 months after initial deposit, Fence City used defective materials which caused catastrophic failure after less than 3 years, Fence City forced us to pay for the remediation, treated us like we were the problem, and did a messy and incomplete repair job. In May of 2021 we received a quote and put a deposit on a full perimeter backyard wooden fence. We were told they had a full schedule and they would call us when we were on the list for install. Our institution has a fence installed by Fence City and we can not be happier with the professionalism and expertise shown by the crew! The staff from the salesman, Mike, and the foreman, to Howard in the office, and of course the big awesome boss Jack, are all great personalities and are a pleasure to work with. Flexibility, honesty, and putting the customer first is the name of their game!! Thank you so much, and looking forward to doing further projects together!!
My fence was put in and a week later began to separate. Some posts are warping and fraying. I r called and had them back and said it was normal. . I had a wood fence for 22hears that NEVER looked like this. I am tearing this fence down and going with another company who o know stands by their work. . Fence coty DOES NOT stand by their work.
