If you have a small kidney stone he does okay—less than 9mm. If you have a large staghorn kidney stone go somewhere else. I asked for a referral to a doctor for an PCNL surgery to get this stone removed and it took a month for him to send it and 2 more months to get in to see the new doctor. I give 1 star only because most of the staff were very sweet. I had an appointment to have my stent removed after surgery. I was in the hospital for seven days due to not doing well from the surgery, more pain and blood than what is normal. I have been in pain ever since and was looking forward to being free of the torture device in my body. My mother came with me for support since I have been in such pain. Most unprofessional doctor I’ve ever experienced. Wait times are unacceptable. He loads pts up in exam rooms but is across the street in the hospital performing surgery and doing procedures. You will wait 2-3 hrs waiting on this clown to see you. And then it’s like 5 mins and he makes you feel like you’re wasting his time. He’ll take calls WHILE examining you or looking over your charts, biopsy reports. He’s dismissive and when delivering potentially bad news, he lacks tact, compassion and empathy. Dr. Fellows is the best. He is our guardian angel. After going to Mayo hospital and them giving up on treatments we found this Dr. whom saved my life. He did a procedure that Dr's. said could not be done. I survived and am still going strong. I will continue to see this Dr. No matter how far he is from me.
I was having my regular three months cystoscope and Fellows took a phone call while my exam was going on. He was on the phone as he left, giving me the thumb up meaning I was all clear. He then returned after the call to tell me he saw a tumor and maybe another one. Surgery was a week later. I woke in recovery and he told me there were no tumors. Dr.Fellows is an excellent doctor who genuinely cares about his patients. We feel very blessed that he is our doctor. He takes his time and explains things and decides on the best course of treatments for you. He called my husband on a Sunday afternoon to check on him and actually gave him his personal cell phone number in case he had any problems or questions. What doctors do that ? He’s a busy man and works at several places so you may have to wait a little bit sometimes but that’s because he’s taking care of someone else ... read more
He takes his time and explains everything in a way that is understandable. His office staff are also great! I had a very bad experience at another provider, and he took over my care to make sure I didn’t end up with more scarring. He always shows his concerns.
