I watched this beautiful European girl (the sales associate) rung up the customer's belonging and said "40 dollars". She had a strong accent and the customer had to ask her to repeat it. They laughed it off and she apologized and said "40 dollars" in a much clearer voice. She smiled, and was very courteous. But the manager came by and he publicly and loudly humiliated this poor girl for her accent, as if for the whole store to hear.
