Fed's is the best! I have traveled there many times from the suburbs for their reasonable prices and honest service. During my last visit Fed was a bit puzzled at first but then figured out that I just had some air in the system and blew it out and then he only charged me $15. WHO DOES THAT IN TODAY'S WORLD!?! I can't say enough good things about this place.
I thought these guys did a great job on my rear wheel bearings. They had my car finished the very next day and quoted me hundreds less than two other shops. These guys know how to fix cars. Do not be desimayed by the office or minimal technology, it is a shop run by mechanics.
Last week my Jeep suddenly had two separate things go wrong on my commute to work. I limped it over to this shop (recommended by the local O'Reillys), they got me in right when they opened, then had me on my way in three hours. The whole time they kept me informed of that was wrong (shout out to Erik specifically, he was the one I spoke to), were really kind, and charged a very reasonable price. If I lived in the city these guys would be my new go-to mechanic - but as it is, I'd still recommend them to anyone in the area
