Pregnant with twins I saw a review saying they aren't able to get their blood thinner meds approved, and how some things weren't covered etc, but I have some input. I just want to say, my experience with Fedhealth so far has been EXCELLENT. I did not have any chronic conditions previously, and I fell pregnant just after joining, the only HOSPITAL co payment I have, is a payment for part of my gynaes HOSPITAL fee, because she is no longer on the Fedhealth network - which was communicated from the beginning which we agreed to.... read more
I wish I could give zero stars. Fedhealth has to be the absolute worst Medical Aid to deal with. I am sure that their Customer Service representatives receive special training on how to draft email responses that are vague and unclear and ensure that they are as meaningless as possible. Alternatively, they simply don’t specifically address the query. They should be investigated by the Ombudsman.
Terrible company and, somehow, even worse customer services.
I saw a review on here from a pregnant woman who has been left hanging about critical treatment and I am in the same situation. We had to join Fedhealth without choice, leaving a cheaper medical scheme with more benefits. I have underlying health conditions and during my first pregnancy was prescribed medication that costs about R2500 a month to prevent me developing a blood cloth and dying. 1/5 Stars – Horrible Service, Zero Coverage, Complete Scammery Do not waste your hard-earned money on Fedhealth / Unity Health. I paid every single month for their plan, including extra for gap cover that is supposed to protect you when you need it most. When it actually came time to cover medical expenses, they completely refused to pay. They left me stranded with hospital fees and specialist fees, refusing to reimburse a single cent of what was promised and then hide behind under the fine print of the policy.(They scam you... read more
