I initially wrote a glowing review because I was genuinely happy with the service at the time. Unfortunately, my experience since then has been extremely disappointing. I am currently without medical cover and have had to repeatedly follow up and “beg” for assistance regarding my reinstatement. There has been a clear lack of urgency and little to no response to my requests. The worst medical aid scheme, don't even think about signing up with them.
I could not agree more with Mario. For my wife and I we pay over R275 000 per year. We have been with FedHealth over 25 years and at this point in time I am seriously considering moving. I have had interviews with Client services managers, discussions with their COO, we have even been given the services of a consultant who struggles to get answers as much as we do. The administration is disgusting and trying to make sense of their call center beggars all logic. Promises are made that are never kept and waiting for a response... read more
We joined FedHealth in July 2025. At the end of September I found out we are expecting an unplanned baby. I informed FedHealth of this and opened comms of if the birth will be covered. We were willing to pay for all consultations and blood tests, etc. They suggested we move to a higher plan for better coverage. We agreed. Since then FedHealth has paid not even 25% of claims.
