Hiked in August in a sunny winter day. We spotted a family kangaroo. Hiking path was very peaceful. The waterfall was beautiful and picture perfect. Some challenging parts but fairly easy hike. it took us about one hour round trip. Tons of nature.
A very enjoyable walk with a lovely reward at the end. Quite steep in parts, but worth it.
Federal Falls Walk 🚶 is a beautiful trail, but it can be challenging for little ones, especially near the steep sections. Take plenty of water and stay hydrated throughout — the descent requires energy and care.
Found the walk pretty boring and it was primarily straight down and straight up with no real reward as the waterfall was non-existent. Plus, neither the base nor the peak had any view or outlook to speak of. Considering the incline/decline though, the path is well maintained, including several sets of steps that make a huge difference. Wouldn’t go again. If we were in the area again, I’d try one of the other tracks first.
Great local hike. Probably best for the fit or those wanting to do it without little ones
