My experience with Fabco was disappointing. I called to negotiate a settlement on an alleged debt, and we agreed on a reduced amount that would satisfy the account. I rented an apartment at Essington Village Apartments in Columbus, Ohio. When I moved out, I was charged $596 for cleaning and carpet replacement. I disagreed with these charges, but the account was later sent to Fabco Collections. I contacted Fabco and requested documentation proving that the carpet had been replaced, specifically an invoice from the apartment management. If any company you are dealing with, be it landlord or employer says they are using this company to do a background check on you, RUN. These people dig up every piece of information on you from your entire life, some of which is of no one's business and has no relevance to your life at this moment. Creepy and absolutely a violation of your privacy rights as far as I am concerned.
