I did some research and still bought a feather river door. (Special order of course.) It showed up damaged, some repairable and some not repairable. The trim has dingers and is pulled away from the door along with the brick moulding . It looks like it was dropped and slid across the floor. There's scratches and marks that cant be repaired or painted on the inside and whoever calked it clearly didnt care one bit, it has calk smeared all over the door. This is a "double sidelight" door. Bought a Feather River door in 2011 and in 2018 the frame was completely rotted. This is supposed to be fiberglass but it is not. It was still under warranty so I called them. They had excuse after excuse. They said all they would do is send me the frame, which they did, but only part of the frame. Stay far far away from Feather River. Their products and warranty suck!
Stay Away! This company is awful, they are terrible manufacturers, and will use any excuse they can come up with to not stand behind their work. They make exterior doors that aren’t made to be outside. If you’re ordering a door from Home Depot, make sure it’s manufactured by anyone else but Feather River. The people that work there must be exhausted from all the angry customers they have to deal with on a daily basis - SHAMEFUL!!!
Do not purchase from this company !!!! We ordered a custom door from Home Depot and had a professional contractor install it. The quality of the door is poor and is splitting apart and warping in a few different areas. After putting in a claim to Feather River they responded back and blamed our contractor for bad installation. They didn’t even try to work with us on a solution or offer any type of help.
