Feels like the Devil Wears Prada in there (and not in a cute way). The staff is unwelcoming and judgmental. 4 starts because they have a strangely niche and impressive collection of consignment (but many brand new pieces as well). I will be back but I don't usually have a great experience due to the rude atmosphere.
Dismissive, poor service. I walked in wearing a baseball hat, sweatshirt, jeans, and there was zero acknowledgement as staff stood yapping at the register. I stood at the register and was finally asked by the chubby gray/white bobbed haired old lady “can I help you” I said “yes, I would like to look at something” and the reply was “here?” I was then trying on bracelets in the cases, and the same lady came over and grabbed the display case key from the other lady and said “I’ll take the key. Rude service. We were being rushed in the dressing rooms and then rushed to leave the store. I had five items. I stepped out to show my sister something that I was thinking of buying for feedback. Attendant kept asking if I had more items to try on and was pushing me to finish up. When I left the dressing room, I was asked if they could take my item to the check out. Great selection, but can take a few visits to orient yourself to the store and make shopping the assortment manageable. Amazing deals to be had when you do find something though!
If I’m going to shop for clothes, fashion avenue is definitely my first stop! They have a great selection and I love the sustainability aspect of shopping second hand. Why buy something new when you can find already produced items with tags on? The staff are friendly and I have had nothing but great experiences so far!
