I just bought steel from Bend steel for the first time and they get all their steel from far west. It was so bent I asked to see more pieces and they said “we don’t have any straight pieces cus of the way Far West loads them on the truck”. I ordered thin steel and aluminum to my shop in Portland for 11 years and this quality would be unacceptable from any of 5 vendors I used there. They should be more open and detailed in what they are actually looking for with applicants. I was told I didn't have enough experience which is not true at all. An associates that covers multiple basic processes including flux core(self/dual shield), plus a year mig welding structural for an employer. I think they just didn't want to hire me in which there should not be any reason to that, that is justified and fair. I do not know why they wouldn't hire me.
