I lived at the sunrise building. I absolutely loved this property and I am only leaving because I’m moving away. The location is unbeatable, you are right on the lake close to some of the prettiest hikes. The apartment had the most beautiful view of mountains and forests, stunning! The building is super clean, pretty and well managed, extremely peaceful and you will feel like you have no neighbors. It’s a bit pricey but well worth it for the area, and all utilities included! I never had any issues with the parking.
I have been renting for the past 6 years with different landlords and have always had cordial experiences. This was my first experience living at Farrell properties, Sunset House. I was charged 150$ "carpet cleaning fee" during the move out process. 150$ for a single bedroom apartment where the carpet is present in one single room - the bedroom. I first moved into 1195 North Ave 2020 the last 7 months have been horrible, the place is dirty and it has nothing to do with Farrell selling the building September 2024 . 2020 to 2022 there was an Asian Guy present every single day mopping the lobby , vacuuming, cleaning windows, . Now the Rules have become relaxed people are pigs , their dogs Poop on sidewalk, they don’t pick it up , smoking weed that billows out to the Hallway, look do what you want inside your apartment, but get a machine to clean the air and keep it in ... read more
I see the owner Eric Farrell there every day and he's a happy, pleasant man to talk to, his dog Rufus always comes over to greet me and asks for his dog treats lol. Eric's Tenants are always polite and friendly along with their dogs too. I enjoy their company whenever I am outside smoking a cigarette. It's a very beautiful building that he built and all of the people seem to enjoy living there.
Nice places here. Kinda expensive for small apartments but I suppose with all that's included it's typical for VT
