We are a fine dining restaurant featuring food and service of rare excellence. The ambience is truly unique. Lovely oriental rugs enhance the warm plank floors, the candle lit rooms are warmly cluttered with interesting artifacts, all of which may be purchased. Food is excellent, ambiance charming, staff arrogant and patronizing Food is excellent, ambiance charming, staff arrogant and patronizing. We loved to go to the Farmhouse for dinner, especially for the crab cakes. However two bad experiences (waiting 70 minutes for food with waiter surprised we asked about our order) and on another occasion a $98.00 charge for a split of champagne (not Don Perignon, nor great vintage year) turned us off. We were misled on the champagne order. We miss The Farmhouse, but won't be back...
Nostalgic and warm. Nostalgic and rustic. Very equistrian feeling, and a warm place that can accommodate small and large groups. Just next to Loch Nairn golf course and convenient to 926 and Route 1. Tucked back off of the road, so very private. A little tricky to navigate for folks with ambulatory issues.
Memorable The Farmhouse has atmosphere and good food. It also has a pricey menu. My advice is to go for lunch and experience the quality food and pleasant golf course surroundings and a more reasonable price. Definitely try the crab cakes. They are delicious.
