I recently had a session with Fariya Doctor, Feldenkrais specialist at her studio, Feldenkrais in Niagara. She really is a movement Detective as her card states. As always her work was gentle unexpectedly connecting and reorganizing several problems at once. I came out having learned how to help myself avoid what had become a bad habit that was injuring my knee and hip. This was my very first workshop with Fariya and it was invaluable. Her targeted activities related to gardening movements were spot on, and I feel as though the awareness that I gained will carry me through many physical activities that extend beyond gardening! As an athlete who's no stranger to an RMT, physiotherapist, chiropractor (you name it) my experience with Fariya was so refreshing to add to my fitness regiment. I thought I had perfect posture, but turns out it was far from perfect and I've adjusted and found lots of relief! Same goes with a simple conversation about mouth taping and my jaw clenching has been almost nonexistent. Great modality, eye opening results and I'm so thrilled that I got answers to issues that I didn't expect to ever receive.
I went to Fariya because I was suffering from some severe issues with digestion and a lack of motility. Fariya was meticulous in her approach to my care, looking at the entirety of my condition, my gait and breathing. In doing so, she was able to restore functioning to my system overall, and create lasting changes in not only my digestive health, but my relationship to my body and how it works.
