I was recently referred to Dr Paul LaPorte @ Glendale Institute of Oncology, basically a chemo mill . Dr. LaPorte was condescending and criticized me when I tried to ask questions about my treatment and tests. He has the bedside manner of a veteran Factory worker.

Patient care starts from the service you receive on the phone to the front office, back office, and then seeing your provider. I feel that this facility has a disconnect now. It's impossible to speak with someone in the office. You speak to someone from another country that denies transferring you to someone in the office. He denies switching an appointment from in person to a phone visit because he states it's not covered. I ask him if he ran the benefits because I have never been denied a phone visit. So far a bad experience, they only reached out today to ask about lab work. It has been more than three months since we made an appointment with them. Tomorrow will be my dad’s appointment and they told me they have to reschedule because they didn’t get lab work, which they never requested in the first place. What a joke waited for so long for this appointment only to be told to reschedule. We’re so disappointed they need to do better than this.
