An LA Favorite People complain about LA's general blandness and Fantasy Lighting is one spot that puts the lie to that. I mainly use Fantasy Lighting for repairs and the odd shade but their colorfully ragged sprawling showroom is full of exotic and stylish lamps that mirror the excellent taste of the owner and they can get just about any fixture you might need. After a few visits you realize that the faux brusqueness of the staff is good humored and part of the welcome eccentricity of the place. Few other lighting emporia in LA match the expertise and clevers of their staff and they have always brought my jobs in on time and as ordered. Some forty years in business in LA is a hard thing to beat and i'm sure they will be around for many years to come.

bad service, won't ever go back i went in to get a custom table lamp shade made for a very large table lamp and i needed some help. the guy who helped me (not the owner) didn't know what he was doing AT ALL and he talked me into getting the wrong size. when it was done, it was WAY too big and they wouldn't do a return or exchange it. i was really angry. i've been going there for years and have had many custom lamp shades made and have bought lamps and chandeliers, but i won't ever go back.
