Fannie Goldmine Diner is in a great location right off Highway 63 next to Catherine's Market and near Kowaliga Bridge. Since Lake Martin doesn't have a ton of dining options, it’s a convenient spot to have nearby. It’s essentially a meat-and-three style place, which isn't usually my go-to, but we decided to try it for dinner. This is one of the best restaurants in Alabama. Our server Danielle was a total sweetheart super great service, the meal was really well priced for how absolutely delicious it was! I had the smoked pork sandwich and my girl had the fried chicken sandwich! 🔥🔥🔥 as well the dining room is beautiful and the bathrooms were spotless.
Quick stop on way home from Wind Creek and it did not disappoint.
It was a laid back environment and food was tasty. The wait staff seemed all over the place and disorganized for no apparent reason. It took FOREVER to get our food. We suspect that our waiter forgot to input our order. We sat near another couple at the same time and ordered our food around the same time and we received our food almost 40 minutes after then. 🤯
