#good food
Great atmosphere throughout the restaurant; felt like being inside of a log-cabin hunting lodge. Great service; friendly and took good care of us from beginning to end. Mostly-great food; my wife raved about her catfish strips, I loved my jalapeno sausage, and we agreed the cornbread muffins were delicious. We thought the Sweet & Zesty and Devil's Spit BBQ sauces were both good. Not great at all: the brisket. Awesome food and hospitality
Always aim to please...great bbq
Well, there's nothing wrong with the look of the restaurant or the staff. I was helped by Nathan during off of hours and he was great. However I found it quite sad that the staff were made to call out "Famous food coming out!" as they exited the kitchen, or "I'm 'Famous [name] and I'll be your server today." Really weird and unnecessary and it's just desperate feeling on the behalf of the owners of the place – not like I know who they are. The menu doesn't say it but once you order your food with the sides you can not change anything even when they messed the food up. The French fries were way too salty and burned the mouth from the amount of salt and seasonings, tried to chang the fries out with potato salad and was informed that I was not allowed to do so , I had to have the fries.
Had to wait a few minutes, but the quality of the food and service totally made up for that. Our drinks were refilled, our food came quickly and when a mistake was made, mac and cheese was brought instead of green beans, ( the waiter took a 10 item order, on a busy night, by memory due to a rascally missing pen) it was corrected for free. I love this place and it's almost roadhouse atmosphere. Would recommend to everyone who likes BBQ.
Food was great as well as the service. The one complaint we have is regarding them seating an older couple behind us with their DOG. The dog was brought in with a baby carriage. Dog was taken out and placed in booth the dog then began to shake causing dander to float thru air over to our table on to our food. We mention the situation to manger and his reply was sorry but nothing was done with couple and dog. Dogs should not be aloud in a restaurant leave them at home
Dried out meat. Any orders to go are half the size at the same price. Even when tipping well. Get your stuff home and dressing and sides aren't there. Very frustrating. Won't be there ever again. There famous bread pudding is rubber and they forget all the toppings.
