Was informed by my 5 year old that they didn’t interact with my children at all in the hour my kids were there. Even while I was there filling out paperwork they didn’t talk to them I was skeptical of leaving them but I had an interview I could not miss. The girl who was working came in sat on the couch and sat on her phone without saying anything for the 20 minutes I did paperwork. SO grateful for the respite option. It has been such a blessing to have a safe place with such amazing staff to take my kids while I run errands or just have some peace to myself after a hard week. Thank you for this resource!
My 3 year old had used up every bit of patience I had one day so my mom suggested I call the Family Support Center. I took my son there for an hour so we both could have a break! The staff there was so nice and I didn’t feel judged at all that I needed a break from my son. My boy loves going and was eating a healthy snack when I returned. Thanks Family Support Center for helping me when I felt I had no where else to turn.
