This was the WORST meal ( Take Out ) that I have ever tasted. Had the chopped steak w/ mac and cheese, collard green and corn bread. The chopped steak was just frozen hamburger patties fried with no seasoning at all. The Mac & cheese was a bowl of soggy over cooked noodles. NO cheese or very little and no seasoning at all. Was told this was one of the best soul food restaurants to go to. However, what so called popular restaurant runs out of food. They literally had a sign on the door saying they had no more food. We traveled a very long way to eat there and was sadly turned away.
1st time I went food was AMAZING! I had fried chicken and fish collards and yams. Today I went ordered lunch chicken wings, yams and cabbage. Wings were cooked in old grease, yams were cubed and under cooked, cabbage was blah...Best piece of the meal was the cornbread. Again none of which compared to first experience. This can be a great spot when done right. Maybe they changed cooks or something...
