Rude employee! My dryer broke and I called to ask their hours and was told that they closed at 10 pm, but the last load has to be in the washing machine at 9 (I repeated this back to the woman and was confirmed). I showed up at 9:05 with wet clothes and wasn't allowed in the door (although there were two people waiting at the dyers) because "the last load has to be in by 9." Very reasonably priced and convenient Family Pride is a very convenient, no-frills laundry and dry cleaning facility at the Fairhills shopping center on the west side of Springfield. I usually spend about $3.25 for a normal load of laundry (wash $2, 40 minutes dry on High heat--$1.25). While waiting for laundry, within walking distance to the County Market supermarket, Arby's, Baskin Robbins, Judy's Hallmark shop, China Wok restaurant, and a barber shop--also two service stations nearby and a CVS pharmacy. Needs a Name Change Family Pride, HA! I went in with my family to do laundry when we were waiting to buy a washer and dryer set. Not only was the place not very clean, it was full of extremely rude people (the attendant especially). My son, being all of two years old was banging on a dryer with his feet while I was loading a washer. For this minor repetitive noise the attendant, a lovely gold-toothed woman, yelled at my son to "Shut-up."
