Dr. Gallegos is one of the most caring and compassionate doctors I’ve ever had. She has a wonderful bedside manner and takes the time to sit with you, go over results, medications or any questions you may have. We’re lucky to have her in Southeastern New Mexico.

The doctor is an awesome person and survivor. She is now part of Artesia General Hospital. The billing is terrible. They billed my insurance under the hospital name and then again for the same 15 minute appointment under the doctors name. So my out of pocket was $500 just for taking my weight and telling me to continue my maintenance thyroid meds. I have been a patient of Dr. Marta Gallegos since 2003 and I as well have my entire family with her. She is the most caring physician I have ever dealt with. She takes her time examining, listening, and treating any of our complaints. I have never had a doctor that went the extra mile to make sure that my medical needs were treated immediately. I was a patient with Dr. Gallegos for two years. My son sought treatment for ADHD and was prescribed Ritalin. When he was sick with the flu, I took him to Dr. Gallegos for treatment. She prescribed medication as well as ordered a flu test. When the lab results came in, the cost was over $700. I called to inform the Dr. that the flu test was expensive and asked if the test was necessary.
