Family Matters Exchange and Visitation Center

Family Matters is a professional, friendly, and supportive visitation center. The owner and staff are always courteous and really strive to make visitation as easy and stress-free as possible for all parties. It’s very apparent that Family Matters places children above all else in the way they interact with families. The facility is clean, spacious, and provides a variety of security measures so safety is never a concern. I would highly recommend Family Matters for exchanges and/or visitation. .

Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend the use of this center for exchanges or visits. While the service is intended to provide a safe and neutral environment, that was not my experience. The setting did not feel supportive or secure, as one would reasonably expect from such a facility. Additionally, the cost structure—$40 per visit and $500 for a court appearance—raises concerns, as these fees may compromise the perception of neutrality. We have been with Family Matters since before it was Family Matters. The owner of Family Matters started as an employee with a similar company that was later shut down (through the actions of the owner, not the staff). That company is where we met the current owner of Family Matters. When that happened, Carletta saw a need that was very much needed within the community and stepped up to fill it without missing a beat. My experience at this center was deeply troubling. The director engaged in verbally abusive and bullying behavior toward me in the presence of my child. This conduct was not only unprofessional but also entirely inappropriate in a setting meant to support families. Fortunately, the incident was documented. I strongly urge others to be cautious and hope appropriate action is taken to prevent similar experiences for other families.
