Honest review here. I was unsure about this clinic but in Alpine TX, without insurance, and a community that is less than helpful or compassionate, I didn't have much choice. I can honestly say they have improved the quality of my life and worked with me on payment. However, professionalism is lacking quite a bit. Numerous times I have had an appointment and immediately after being sat down in a private room I can hear the staff making jokes out loud about private issues some patients have. In 2022 a doctor here accused me of lying when I said I'd never been committed to a mental institution, then refused to write prescriptions he'd previously given me. I walked out and never paid. Not realizing this was the same company, I later called my insurance PCP which turned out to be their Alpine clinic. When I called to make the appointment, the person who answered didn't even know the name of the clinic — she gave me the wrong name. Best to avoid dental care from this facility. I wasn't expecting the world's best treatment, but I also didn't expect to have my teeth damaged in the process. When I complained to Dr Velasquez about how rough and hurtful he was being, he insinuated I have "dental phobia". I felt very disrespected and mistreated during my visit here. The drive to Fort Stockton is more than worth it if you're looking for quality dental care.
As with the so called “Urgent Care” clinic in Marfa - they don’t keep any time open for walk-ins. So basically they are NOT an urgent care faculty because if you need “urgent care” you need it today - not tomorrow or next week.
