Called to check in on potentially being a new patient… while I understand that locations are busy/full, being left with the ultimate message of “delete this number and never call back” (in those exact words) doesn’t make this feel like a welcome location. Not going to say a single bad word about the therapists, I’m sure they’re wonderful individuals, but the admin staff should learn slightly better patient interaction skills. I’d hate to imagine if someone in crisis received this type of messaging.
Only reason I am giving a one star review is because Kathryn Stack is NOT professional at all. I had an appointment with her today, there was an issue with billing and instead of her taking the session to actually speak about my issues, she took it in her hands to completely disrespect me. I explained to her my mother takes control of payments and I, myself, am a student. Clearly, she did not understand. I don't usually write reviews, but after reading the 1 star review for the Family Guidance Center of Milford and for Kathy Stack, I feel compelled to say my experience with both the center and Kathy has been very positive. I am grateful to the Center and Kathy for providing care to me in this unprecedented time.
Kelley is an amazing therapist. I've been working with her for 5 years now and can't thank her enough for making such a positive impact on my life. She cares deeply for her patients and it shows.
I highly recommend Family Guidance Center of Milford, and especially Kathy Stack! Kathy is professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and genuinely cares for her clients. I started seeing her at the start of the pandemic, and I truly don’t know what I would do without her! Whether we are discussing “the Big Stuff”, or day-to-day stressors, I find that her advice and feedback stick with me during the times in-between sessions in a way that I haven't found with other therapists.
