I can’t say enough good things about my experience at the Family Guidance Center in Milford, New Hampshire. From the moment I walked in, I felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. When I first came to Mary Brady I was in a bad place. I had just come out of a long term relationship that left me completely drained. I was depressed, I had no motivation, and most days I barely had the energy to function. I was not eating right, I was isolating, and everything felt like it was falling apart. Called to check in on potentially being a new patient… while I understand that locations are busy/full, being left with the ultimate message of “delete this number and never call back” (in those exact words) doesn’t make this feel like a welcome location. Not going to say a single bad word about the therapists, I’m sure they’re wonderful individuals, but the admin staff should learn slightly better patient interaction skills. I’d hate to imagine if someone in crisis received this type of messaging.
Only reason I am giving a one star review is because Kathryn Stack is NOT professional at all. I had an appointment with her today, there was an issue with billing and instead of her taking the session to actually speak about my issues, she took it in her hands to completely disrespect me. I explained to her my mother takes control of payments and I, myself, am a student. Clearly, she did not understand. I don't usually write reviews, but after reading the 1 star review for the Family Guidance Center of Milford and for Kathy Stack, I feel compelled to say my experience with both the center and Kathy has been very positive. I am grateful to the Center and Kathy for providing care to me in this unprecedented time.
