I went to have a crown looked at. Dr. Lieurance asked how old it was then promptly drilled a hole down through the top of the crown and told me not to worry, it would cause no damage, the crown was paper thin and the root of the tooth was bad. Dr. Lieurance then sent me to their "root canal specialist" that Doctor (a very nice man ) had me bite of a number of irregular shaped objects, told me there was nothing wrong with the root of the tooth and in good conscience he could not do a root canal as it was not needed. Be careful at this place. I went in for the first time for a consultation and they told me I had 7 cavities and that my insurance would only cover half of it. My insurance covers way more than that, so the dentist upcharged me by a lot. When I went to get a second opinion, I only had 2 cavities. It is very much a money grab and not the most ethical practice. I’m also a newly post grad student in a new city, so the amount they quoted me would have cost an arm and a leg. Highly disappointing.
