I first visited the Family Connection Center when I arrived in Canada from Ukraine. My visa allowed me to use the Settlement Service, which is what brought me here. I received support and understanding from the staff, which was amazing, as asking for help was incredibly humiliating for someone who had everything and was forced to leave their country.
