Such fun! MY FAMILY AND I WILL DEFINITELY BE THERE NEXT YEAR!
I felt the need to write a review because I never do and this is my second year attending. I brought my family to this because I loved the spirit of all of us connecting in a digital age. The vendors were great and we had a lot of fun. I think the weather played a role in the low turnout. The lightening storms were so bad that had we not gotten our tickets ahead of time, we probably wouldn't have gone. I would definitely go back again.
I was a vendor at Family Con, and I wasn't happy with my experience. I spent a lot of money on this show, and it didn't live up to the hype. There was suppose to be 15k-20k people attending...sadly that didn't happen. I mainly feel bad for the families, b/c a lot of events on the main stage were canceled or never happened. I could go on and on....but I was truly disappointed and hopefully they turn this even around.
This is my 3rd year I've attended Family Con and they have all been excellent from the perspective of family. I have a family of 4 and the prices for the tickets are amazingly affordable in comparison to everything else for family in the tri-state area. My sons got the opportunity to ride horses, watch an educational S.T.E.M show which was outstanding! We got pictures with Spiderman, flew drones and even watched a nice family fashion. This event was terrible. First of all public had to pay $20 per adult and $10 per kid to get in! That's just crazy. They paid that much money to come in and have their kids bounce in a few bouncy houses and walk around to see if there was something else that they wanted to spend money on. There were so little public that came to the event that vendors were walking around talking to each other because there was nothing else to do.
