At first they came of as the perfect place. We always paid our fees on time at each due date. Then comes time for my wife to go into labor and they completely changed their stance. We even cleaned a room out for them to take breaks and had refreshments. Maybe it was our mistake showing appreciation. They kept telling my wife to lay down. Didn't really seem to care how far my wife was not progressing. Gave her a castor oil cocktail which made her contractions abnormal and painful....needless to say she needed a c section. As a former midwife, my standards for my own maternity care were very high. We hired FBS midwife Becky Thorp for our first pregnancy and were thrilled with her care! She provided solid education and supported my decision-making during pregnancy and kept me and my baby safe during our home birth. The whole birth team were great! When a few complications arose right after the birth, they handled them expertly and kept us safe and at home. We love FBS and hope to go there for midwifery care in the future!
Unfortunately the women who have not had a good experience with this place have not come forward. My cousin went through the worst most negligent labor she could have experienced. Mid wives were too laid back when I arrived. Weren't coaching her through labor and my cousin ended up delivering by c-section. Management needs to reach out for follow up to hold these midwives accountable. Almost $6000 for visits and in the end the delivery fell through. Need better policies for finances in situations like this. And again, Better... read more
