I would not trust Dr. Davies as a custody evaluator. On one of my first appointments he said if he was divorced that he'd have his kids stay with their mom. This should have been a serious red flag for bias towards mothers. Secondly, I wanted to modify the custody arrangement and make it a fair 50/50 - 7/7 custody split. Matt Davies is a flat-out Thief; he will make you pay and expensive retainer and will only provide one or two appointments. He has to be the stupidest person I've ever dealt with. He will destroy your family; he won't allow you to talk about what went on because that's water under the bridge. So, you can't talk about anything of importance. If the court appoints him make sure you protest and run.

I am still currently on process of my divorce and child custody. My ex was convicted and plead guilty for domestic violence against me. His counsel requested for an evaluation custody the commissioner picked dr. Davies. After almost a year of BS and spending $9,000 total unfortunately I lost my this battle. Regardless of the outcome of my evaluation, my opinion of working with Mathew Davies is that he defines the word unprofessional. He lacks respect for his clients by not replying to them, takes their money and does not reciprocate with time or effort, he does not follow the procedures & norms accustom with custody evaluations, and he makes blatant bigoted remarks. If you’re going through a divorce look else where for an evaluation! 8,000 It costed me for a few hours of his precious time. Also took months for him to finish. This was a few year’s ago. I would imagine his cost has increased. His email response is pathetic and he could care less about you. This guy told me in a court house conference he took pictures with my kids. When I asked to see them, he change the subject and wouldn’t show me. Why would Mathew have pictures of my children on his personal phone??? This dude is the mo... read more
